About the Job
The VP plans, implements and directs the Revenue Cycle functions of the Shared Services Center, as determined by the corporate Revenue Cycle leadership. This involves developing and implementing specific operational and financial plans and budgets to achieve the primary objective of the centralized business office; organizing the necessary human and physical resources required to accomplish the plan; and, monitoring, developing, and improving overall performance to achieve stated goals for revenue cycle management.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
The administrator reviews, designs and implements processes surrounding:
  •  pre-registration, centralized scheduling, reception, registration, inpatient bed control
  • financial advocates and physician liaison
  • POS Collections  
  • provider referrals,
  • credentialing of providers
  • coding, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships
  • collection management of accounts receivable to ensure that the revenue cycle is optimized
 
The VP of Revenue Cycle is also responsible for:
  • developing department strategic plans
  • formulating budgets
  • managing site specific projects
  • interpreting policy
  • making timely decisions that directly impact organization financial viability
 
Job Requirements
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Seven plus years’ experience managing Revenue Cycle Management in a large healthcare provider setting with deep experience in cost management and revenue cycle processes 
  • Working knowledge of healthcare computerized financial systems
